Reversi Web Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the 'Terms') set forth the conditions for using the Reversi Web service (hereinafter referred to as the 'Service') operated by Yuki Lab. By using this Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms shall apply to all relationships between users and the operator regarding the use of the Service.

The operator may establish various rules (hereinafter referred to as 'Individual Provisions') in addition to these Terms regarding the use of the Service. These Individual Provisions, regardless of their names, shall constitute a part of these Terms.

Article 2 (Use of the Service)

This Service can be used for free without logging in. Account registration is optional, and by registering, you can access additional features.

Please apply for registration in the manner specified by the operator. The operator may refuse to approve or cancel registration if it determines that there is a risk of violating these Terms.

Article 3 (Account Management)

Users who have registered an account are responsible for properly managing their user ID and password.

Users may not transfer or lend their user ID and password to third parties or share them with third parties. The operator shall consider the use of a user ID that matches the registered combination of user ID and password as being used by the user who registered that user ID.

Article 4 (Usage Fees and Payment Methods)

Users may only use the paid features of this Service after paying the usage fees specified by the operator on this website, using the payment method designated by the operator.

Users who delay payment of usage fees shall pay a late fee at an annual rate of 14.6%.

Article 5 (Streaming and Commentary Guidelines)

Users may share their gameplay of this Service on video-sharing platforms or live streaming services, whether or not the content is monetized. However, they must include or mention the service name of this site (Reversi Web), and include either a hyperlink to, or the plain URL of this Service (https://reversi.yuki-lab.com/en/)

Streaming content must not infringe the rights of other users or third parties, or include material that is illegal or contrary to public decency.

Article 6 (Prohibited Matters)

Users may not engage in the following acts when using this Service.

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
• Acts related to criminal activities.
• Acts that infringe on the copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights included in the content of this Service.
• Acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of the operator, other users, or third-party servers or networks.
• Acts that may interfere with the operation of the operator's services.
• Acts of unauthorized access or attempts to do so.
• Acts of collecting or accumulating personal information about other users.
• Acts of using this Service for illegal purposes.
• Acts that cause harm or inconvenience to other users of this service or third parties.
• Acts of impersonating other users.
• Acts that interfere with proper game progress (trolling, nuisance behavior, etc.).
• Acts of directly or indirectly providing benefits to antisocial forces in connection with the operator's services.
• Other acts that the operator deems inappropriate.

Article 7 (Suspension of Service Provision, etc.)

The operator may suspend or interrupt the provision of all or part of this Service without prior notice to the user if it determines that any of the following reasons exist.

• When performing maintenance or updates on the computer systems related to this Service.
• In the event that the provision of this Service becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning strikes, fires, power outages, or natural disasters.
• In the event that a computer or communication line is stopped due to an accident.
• In the event that the operator determines that the provision of this Service is difficult for any other reason.

The operator shall not be liable for any disadvantage or damage suffered by users or third parties due to the suspension or interruption of the provision of this Service.

Article 8 (Usage Restrictions and Account Suspension)

The operator may restrict the use of all or part of this Service or suspend the account of a user without prior notice if the user falls under any of the following categories.

• In the event of a violation of any provision of these Terms.
• In the event that false information is found in the registered details.
• In the event that the initially registered credit card for payment methods is suspended.
• In the event of a default on payment obligations such as fees.
• In the event that there is no response for a certain period to communications from the operator.
• In the event that there has been no use of this Service for a certain period since the last use.
• In the event that acts that interfere with the proper progress of the game (trolling) are committed.
• In the event that the operator determines that the use of this Service is inappropriate for any other reason.

Article 9 (Copyright)

Users may use this Service and post or upload only text, images, videos, and other information for which they hold the necessary intellectual property rights such as copyrights or have obtained permission from the necessary rights holders.

Users retain the copyright to any text, images, videos, and other content they post or upload while using this Service. However, the operator may use such content to improve the Service, enhance its quality, correct any deficiencies, and promote the Service, and users shall not exercise their moral rights in relation to such use.

Article 10 (Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability)

The operator makes no explicit or implicit warranty that there are no defects in this Service (including defects related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, validity, suitability for a particular purpose, security, etc.).

The operator shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the user arising from this Service.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if the contract between the operator and the user regarding this Service (including these Terms) is a consumer contract as defined by the Consumer Contract Act, this exemption provision shall not apply, and the operator's liability for damages shall be limited to direct and actual ordinary damages incurred by the user, except in cases of intentional or gross negligence by the operator. For paid services, the maximum liability shall be limited to the usage fees paid by the user to the operator in the most recent one year.

Article 11 (Changes to Service Content, etc.)

The operator may change the content of this Service or discontinue the provision of this Service without notifying users, and shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users as a result.

Article 12 (Changes to Terms of Use)

The operator may change these Terms if it deems it necessary. Changes to the Terms of Use shall take effect when the revised Terms are posted on this Service.

Users shall be deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms of Use when they use this Service after the changes.

Article 13 (Notifications or Communications)

Notifications or communications between users and the operator shall be made in the manner specified by the operator. The operator shall consider the currently registered contact information to be valid unless the user has submitted a change notification in accordance with the method separately specified by the operator, and notifications or communications shall be deemed to have reached the user at the time of transmission.

Article 14 (Prohibition of Transfer of Rights and Obligations)

Users may not transfer or pledge their position under the usage contract or their rights or obligations under these Terms to third parties without the prior written consent of the operator.

Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

The governing law for the interpretation of these Terms shall be Japanese law.

In the event of a dispute arising in connection with this Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the operator's head office shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Article 16 (Language)

The original version of these Terms is in Japanese, and any translations into English or other languages are provided for convenience only. In the event of any discrepancy between the Japanese version and any translation, the Japanese version shall take precedence.
