The particularly popular Intermediate AI on this site generally looks one move ahead, while the higher-level AIs look more than eight moves ahead to find better moves. Developing strong Reversi AIs was not easy, but by adopting 'bitboards' and 'WebAssembly,' we were able to speed up calculations by about 100 times, allowing for deeper lookahead in a short time. Additionally, in the highest levels of Reversi AI, you can play against the web version of Egaroucid, one of the world's strongest Reversi AI that looks ahead more than 20 moves ahead, for free.
In this AI match mode, over 2 million matches have been played in total. The higher the AI level, the lower the win rate for players, and for example, in the hidden content '🌈 Legendary AI,' which only about3.5% of strong players can challenge, the win rate remains around 16%.
The reason I started creating this site was that I once had trouble finding a site where my family could play Reversi together.
